The Conscious Designer trained students of DAE to redevelop their concepts into sustainable designs. Starting point for the students was to take one of the previous developed concepts or products in their education and redesign the entire project. From design to the introduction for series manufacturing; the cyclic thinking about the design and manufacturing process in a more conscious, sustainable way stood central. It got started with getting aware of the production of their own waste and consumption to new materialization processes, up to what 'being conscious as a designer means for you as designers. The full program combined theory and practice, including as well the use of external expertise, from the field of science design and industry in the form of company visits and excursions.
